Modern medicine has extraordinary tools for diagnosing and treating disease, but patients can still feel reduced to a diagnosis, a list of symptoms, or a problem to be solved. In this lecture, psychiatrist and theologian Warren Kinghorn, MD, ThD, asks us to think differently about what health care is for and what it means to accompany another person through suffering.
