As Baylor staff members, postdocs are eligible for free tickets to most athletic events (all sports except football). Postdocs may request tickets for themselves, their spouse and dependent children. Postdocs who are not married may request tickets for themselves, dependent children and one guest.
Exercise and Activities
- McLane Student Life Center (SLC): a 156,000 square foot recreation center for student, faculty, and staff. The SLC includes a fitness center, a climbing ROCK, leisure pool, outdoor basketball & sand volleyball courts, 4-court gymnasium, conference rooms, racquetball/squash courts, indoor jogging track, aerobics studio and Bike Shop, which offers basic service and repairs. Outdoor gear rental is also available for faculty and staff.
- Baylor tennis courts: 10 regulation Tennis Courts (activity is limited to tennis only).
- The Bear Trail: a 2.25-mile outdoor trail encircling the beautiful campus. Winding along the perimeter of campus, runners and walkers can experience the joy of exercising outdoors without having to leave campus. Water fountains (and doggie fountains too!) dot the path at various locations.
- Intramural Sports Program: Intramural events are open to all enrolled Baylor students, faculty, and staff. Intramural games are scheduled to play Monday - Thursday between 5pm and midnight. Sports include badminton, basketball, canoe battle, cornhole, dodgeball, flag football, kickball, pickleball, racquetball, soccer, softball, spikeball, table tennis, tennis, track, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and wallyball.
