Dr. Benjamin F. Brown IV Fund for Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Scholarship (Brown Fund) The Brown Fund supports curriculum development and research projects on issues of global significance. The program gives preference to faculty applicants engaged in interdisciplinary and collaborative curriculum development and/or research projects on such issues of global importance as collaboration and conflict among followers of various world religions, the interplay of religious beliefs/practices with civil society and political authority, the eradication of illiteracy, the impact of economic development on traditional societies and global public health. Proposals are peer-reviewed by members of the University Research Committee. |

Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Achievement Small Award Program (URSA) Three separate awards are available through the URSA program to faculty who mentor undergraduate student research: URSA Small Awards, URSA Travel Awards, and URSA Equipment/Supply Awards. URSA Small Awards are awarded to faculty mentors to promote and expand research participation by undergraduate students, to engage students in the active faculty/student collaborative learning relationships necessary for success in all fields of research, and to expose students to resources and facilities that may stimulate their interest in pursuing research careers. |
