Startup Support
Baylor's Office of Innovation & Economic Development helps faculty, staff, and students start, build, and grow new ventures. We collaborate with campus and community partners to host programs, train entrepreneurs, and provide resources to innovators as they launch and spin out startups at every stage of their journey from first idea to scaling a business. Explore the stages below to find the programs and support designed for where you are in your journey.
Stage 1: Ideation & Startup Creation
Ideation is the creative process of generating, developing, and validating new ideas. At this stage, you're exploring whether your concept has potential, who your customers might be, and what problem you're solving.
Stage 2: Commercialization
Commercialization is the process of introducing a new product or service to the market. At this stage, you're moving beyond validation to actually building the business infrastructure, protecting your intellectual property, and preparing for market entry.
Stage 3: Acceleration
Acceleration is the stage where your business is ready for rapid growth and scaling. You have product-market fit, initial traction, and are focused on expanding your customer base, revenue, and team.
