InnovateBU is a Baylor University initiative to support faculty, staff, and students in their efforts to start, build, and grow new ventures. InnovateBU collaborates with campus and community partners to host programs, train entrepreneurs, and resource innovators as they launch and spin out startups.

Product Launch Program
Baylor Innovation, in collaboration with Baylor Licensing, is looking for small businesses and prospective entrepreneurs with creative ideas and ties to Baylor who desire to license and launch unique Baylor-branded products. This is your chance to turn your vision into reality with the new “Community Connect License.” This special license offered through Innovate BU’s Product Launch Program and CLC (Baylor’s Licensing Agency) lets you launch your branded product quickly and easily, with a low one-time fee and no ongoing payments until your sales take off. Whether you’re a student dreaming up the next must-have dorm room essential, a faculty member with a genius invention, or a staff member with a passion for Baylor spirit, we want to hear from you! Mentorship
Join our dynamic mentoring program and connect with innovative and passionate students who are eager to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into reality. Share your expertise and insights, guiding students as they evaluate their business models and concepts. Your guidance will empower them to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape and achieve their goals.
Mentor Profile:
- Identify as a leader within the business industry to provide expertise to mentees to develop and grow their businesses.
- Passionate about entrepreneurship and eager to share your knowledge.
- Mentorship offers a 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year program duration options.
- Based on your application, we will match you with a mentor/mentee based on your business needs & industry.
Mentor Responsibilities:
- Conduct at least one face-to-face meeting with students on the Baylor campus
- Provide support in the following areas:
- General career advice for aspiring entrepreneurs
- Market research, product development, marketing, finance, and leadership
- Developing or reviewing a business model
- Sharing career experiences
