Summer Incubation Program
100 Research Parkway
Waco, Texas
The Baylor Summer Incubation Program is an intensive summer initiative designed to bridge the gap between a business concept and a market-ready venture. Running from June 1 to August 10, the program offers a comprehensive support system that includes a specialized startup curriculum, personalized one-on-one mentorship, and direct insights from experienced local business owners. Participants gain exclusive access to professional resources, including a dedicated workspace in the BRIC building and the Innovation Garage, which houses a suite of maker tools and equipment to help bring physical or digital products to life.
To be eligible, applicants must have a tech-based startup or small business idea with a validated customer base. While you don’t need to have an officially formed company yet, you must demonstrate "customer discovery"—meaning you’ve already proven there is market interest in your idea. The program looks for independent, coachable founders who can build their own products and are open to feedback. Participation requires a dedicated in-person commitment of at least 10 hours per week, covering weekly check-ins, Wednesday speaker sessions, mentor meetings, and attendance at two Startup Waco Meet Ups.
