Product Launch Program
The Product Launch Program is designed to assist Baylor staff, students, and faculty members in developing and launching their business ideas. This program includes a two-day bootcamp, mentor matchmaking, an opportunity to obtain a license to brand your product with Baylor, and a pathway to our summer incubation program.
The two-day bootcamp equips you with essential tools and strategies for successfully launching your product. You'll learn how to craft a business model canvas, develop a unique brand story, identify your ideal customer, and reach your target market through effective marketing channels. Additionally, we will cover important financial considerations such as setting funding goals, estimating startup costs, and understanding legal structures.
The summer incubation program is a ten-week initiative that provides space, resources, tools, and mentorship to help you advance your business. This program is intended for legal entities that are actively commercializing a business or technology. The program is flexible and built around a co-developed, milestone-driven plan, which may include customer engagement, product development, go-to-market strategy, financial modeling, team development, and fundraising.
Through the PLP program, we also offer an opportunity to obtain a Baylor license for your product. In collaboration with Baylor Licensing, the "Community Connect License" (Baylor's Licensing Agency) is a special license that allows you to launch your branded product quickly and easily, with a low one-time fee and no ongoing payments until your sales increase.
