The story of the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative spans eight decades in the history of Central Texas. The building that houses the BRIC began in 1944 as a tire factory that functioned as a major economic driver in the region for over 40 years. Then, after a massive renovation and restoration project, the BRIC opened its doors in 2013 as a uniquely collaborative university discovery park.
